Mozambique’s northern province of Cabo Delgado has been hit by a wave of violence and attacks, forcing nearly 700,000 people out of their homes and communities and with no choice but to live in displacement camps and with host communities.
UNFPA is working with partners to provide life-saving sexual and reproductive health and protection services to 330,000 women, girls, and youth impacted by the humanitarian crisis in Cabo Delgado, Mozambique, and the secondary impacts of COVID-19.
Women and girls are among the most affected, many having to flee their homes at moments’ notice without personal items or access to services to look after their health, hygiene, or safety.
As health facilities and clinics are either closing or severely limited in staffing and supplies, thousands of displaced pregnant women are at risk of poor obstetric care that puts their lives and their babies at risk.
Donate today to ensure that women and girls get the life-saving support they urgently need.
